Mike Miller: (18/01/00) Part of the all-exciting (not) drinking circuit building up near Emmanuel, this is a dull and soul-less place. My experiences of it was the barstaff were incompetent (both a friend and myself ordered halves and were given pints. Make the same mistake twice in a row???), the beer (Bass being the only 'real ale') didn't taste good, and generally it was a miserable place. Has newspapers and comics, which is a plus point. The food looked reasonable but was reasonably expensive (slightly less so than I expected however). But I don't see any reason to ever want to go back. Extra minus points for having bouncers when busy.
